Alice Garcia, R.N. has been promoted to the position of Administrator of Cima Hospice of the Valley effective June 1, 2013. She has been with Cima since its inception in 2006 and has worked arm in arm with our founding Administrator, Linda P. Balli, during the past 7 years. Linda has opted for a well earned sabbatical and will be stepping down as of June 1st.
Alice’s current position is as Clinical Director and Alternate Administrator of Cima Hospice of the Valley. Alice has over 23 years of healthcare industry experience. Prior to joining Cima, Alice was an R.N. Supervisor for APC Homemaker Services in McAllen, Texas, where her primary duties were to perform skilled nursing assessment/data collection throughout the client certification period; to provide overall direction, coordination and evaluation of homemakers; to perform skilled nursing care; to formulate plan of care to include delegation, organization and coordination of attendants, staff and other interdisciplinary team members; and, to provide direction in Medicaid CBA program to maintain state and local regulations. Prior to APC, she was a School Nurse for the Donna Independent School District.
Omar Flores, R.N. will assume the Clinical Director/Alternate Administrator position effective June 1, 2013. Omar has served as Cima Hospice’s Assistant Director of Nursing since August 2012 and Case Manager since July 2011. Previous to Cima, he served as an R.N. Case Manager at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas.

Kuhn, President of Cima.
Cima Hospice provides compassionate end-of-life care through agencies serving San Antonio, New Braunfels/Seguin/San Marcos, McAllen/Rio Grande Valley, El Paso, Tyler/Longview and Texarkana.
In October of last year, Jordan Health Services and Cima Hospice came together to provide a continuum of quality care by combining their home health services, community/provider services and hospice services.
